The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is designed to attract those people who have the skills and experience to contribute to the province’s economic activity and ability to settle permanently in Nova Scotia.

Eligible Candidates, can apply for Nova Scotia immigration through any of the following Provincial immigration streams. Every stream has its own eligibility and selection criteria.

Most of the above require candidates to have a job offer to be eligible for the stream

Nova Scotia Demand:

The Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry stream is aligned with the Federal express entry system and enables Nova Scotia to nominate qualified candidates from the federal skill pool. Nominated applicants get 600 additional CRS points towards their application for Permanent residency. The province nominates qualified applicants from the federal Express Entry pool.

The stream has two categories.

Category A: Applicants must meet the category’s requirement, and need a job offer from an eligible Nova Scotia employer.

Category B: Applicants are required to have at least one year of work experience in Nova Scotia’s targeted occupations. (Currently suspended)

Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities:

Aligned with the federal Express entry system the Labour Market Priorities stream is designed to address the high demand of specific occupations in Nova Scotia Labour market.

To apply for a provincial nomination under Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream, candidates must have an active profile in the federal express entry pool. Receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration (NSOI) .Meet the stream‘s selection criteria and produce the required supporting documents. Successful candidates get 600 additional points towards their CRS score in the federal skill pool. No job offer required
