- People interested in living and working, in the province of Quebec on permanent basis, may apply to immigrate to Quebec under Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).Applicants of this program are assessed under a system different than other Canadian provinces.

Successful Applicants of Quebec Skilled Worker Program are issued a Quebec Selection certificate(CSQ) by the Government of Quebec and can then apply to the Federal Government for the final approval of permanent residence.
To be successful, one must secure enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection factors..An applicant with no spouse or Common law partner must score at least 50 points while an applicant with a spouse or common-law partner must score at least 59 points to be eligible to submit an Expression of interest. Selection factors include Education, Area of training valid employment offer, work experience, age, language, stay and relative in Quebec, Spouse / children Characteristics and Financial ability. The Quebec Skilled Worker program does not require a valid job offer from a Canadian or Quebec employer as compulsory condition.
