The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) identifies skilled workers, and their families genuinely interested in settling and have ability to economically establish, in Manitoba as permanent residents.

Skilled Worker Immigration Stream has two streams

  • Skilled Workers Overseas
  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba
Skilled Workers Overseas

This stream identifies and nominates International skilled workers with skills and training in Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations. Applicant must meet the provincial eligibility criteria which includes a close family connection to Manitoba.Language proficiency, working experience and Settlement funds requirements are also need to be met. No job offer is required.

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream consists of two pathways:

  • Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
  • Human Capital Pathway

a) Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

Foreign candidates who meet the provincial eligibility criteria and also have an active Express Entry profile in the federal pool are eligible to apply. Candidates must have a strong family connection to Manitoba.

b) Human Capital Pathway

Human Capital Pathway is a direct provincial pathway .Applicants with skills, training and experience in one of Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations can apply under this pathway. Candidates must have a strong family connection to Manitoba .No job offer is required.

Morden Community Driven Immigration Initiative – through the MPNP

Morden’s Community Driven Immigration Initiative is a support program for those who are interested in applying for permanent residence in Morden through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.  If an applicant is not able to qualify on their own to apply to the MPNP (For example: With the support letter of a friend or family member), they can apply to our initiative for a support letter.

The city of Morden, Manitoba has a program for individuals interested in immigrating to Canada who do not have a job offer, or family or friends already in Manitoba to support their application.

This program is designed to meet labor shortages in the city of Morden, and the city will nominate individuals based on previous work experience for the occupational fields facing labor shortages.

Interested candidates are required to meet following conditions to be eligible to apply for Morden’s Community Driven Immigration:

  • Must be under 45 years of age and over 21 years of age
  • Must not have any family members, friends or previous work experience anywhere in Canada
  • Have completed a minimum of two years of full-time work experience.
  • Have at least a one-year post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Score a minimum of 5 in each area of English proficiency on the IELTS exam
  • Have a real intention to reside and live in Morden, Manitoba
  • Have lived in a rural area previously
